Abstract:Based on centrifugal model tests,the effect of dynamic compaction on the secimic resistance of loess ground was quantitatively evaluated.It was shown that the moisture content was an important factor which influenced the effect of dynamic compaction on the secimic resistance of loess ground,and there was little influence caused by the difference of degree of dynamic compaction in the same level of soil layer.The dynamic compaction of loess could completely eliminate the seismic subsidence within a certain effective depth.
