Abstract：The construction process and load-bearing characteristics of cast-in-situ concrete thin-wall pipe piles have been analyzed based on their application in soft soil improvement of Yan-Tong Expressway. The low strain test, static load test and excavation also have been performed in-situ. It can be concluded that the new style pile is convenient to be constructed with high bearing capacity and reliable quality. It is expected to be applied in ground improvement with great prospect.
