Abstract：Displacement and deformation of surrounding rock mass is produced because rock in open pit slope is excavated. Safety of slope and surrounding environment is seriously influenced. This paper applied random medium theory to establish predicting model of deformation due to open pit excavation. Meanwhile, movement parameters are analyzed using regression method. Then deformation value for continuing excavation is predicted, so deciding basis is provided for safe production.
