Abstract:This paper is based on the result of the test of the dispersive clay of Guanlu reservoir in Qingdao. By means of the normal physical tests, disintegrative test, twohydrometer test, pinhole test, limestabilized test and together with the field investigation,the following primary conclusions were obtained:(1) Because most soil in Guanlu reservoir is dispersive clay, it is indispensable to take treatment measures; (2)By mixing lime in dispersive clay, it might be transformed into nondispersive clay.1.0%1.5% by weight would be the optimum quantity of lime.
